East Bradford Elementary - Mrs. Meisenhelter's Second Grade Class

We are second graders at East Bradford Elementary School in West Chester, Pennsylvania. West Chester is located about 30 miles west of the city of Philadelphia. There are 18 students and 2 teachers in our classroom. We have 8 boys and 10 girls. Two of the girls are twins. Our room number is 11. We have a lot of books, 6 computers, and a word wall. A word wall is a wall of words that we’ll know how to spell by the end of the year. Our mascot is the cougar and our colors are red and white. We love East Bradford!

Flat Stanley is a great friend! He helps us in many situations. For example, he makes sure we follow directions. Stanley is very kind to everyone. He likes reading, writing, and math. Stanley’s favorite color is green and his favorite things to eat are Tasty Cakes! He is allergic to mushrooms, which is a real problem because Pennsylvania is the mushroom capital of the world! Stanley is a good athlete, too. He plays soccer every weekend. Stanley is a BIG Philadelphia sports fan! Even though he is very smart, he only knows how to spell E-A-G-L-E-S! Stanley is the most creative student we know! Take good care of him!! :)

East Bradford Flat Stanley kept busy while visiting North Carolina on Journey #5. Flat met the Cat in the Hat on Read Across America Day. He joined us for a videoconference called North Carolina Treasures. Flat toured Old Salem and tried flat Moravian cookies which he thought were yummy! He enjoyed Easter. He made a visit to the Easter Bunny and hunted for eggs. Flat joined our class in roller skating and a school Pep Rally. He also went on Spring Break to Orlando where he saw a special friend from West Chester, PA. :) We can not wait for you to see and enjoy his journal. We throughly enjoyed our videoconference with your class. We loved your Pennsylvania A-Z's that your class performed for us. We sure enjoyed meeting and talking with you. You are truly super second graders. Thank you for taking such good care of our Stanley. We enjoyed taking care of your Stanley, and he is welcomed back any time. Take care and keep in touch. Your second grade friends in Rural Hall, NC. :)
