Castlio Elementary School - Mrs. Armstrong's 3rd Grade Class

Our Flat Stanley is very excited about his upcoming visits to the many different classrooms. We are in third grade at Castlio Elementary. Our school is located in St. Charles, Missouri, a suburb near St. Louis. We have 26 students and our teacher is Mrs. Armstrong. We are in an eMINTS classroom, which means we use computers to help us learn every day. We like to read a lot in our classroom and make projects on our computers. Our school is very large. We have seven third grade classrooms and have over 1,000 students in our whole school, kindergarten through fifth grade.

Stanley loves to do many things. He likes to ride bikes, play soccer, and learn in school. He is very busy and likes to talk and visit others. He loves to eat ice cream, applesauce, and pizza. He always cheers for the Cardinals, Rams, and Blues, but never for the Cubs or Blackhawks. He is hoping the Blues have a winning season this year since the Cardinals did not. Stanley will love visiting you and hopes to have fun and learn many new things about where you live.

I'm really glad you are participating in the Flat Stanley videoconference project! Many St. Louis area schools are, and that's wonderful.

WELCOME TO NORTH CAROLINA, Flat Stanley!!!!

Flat Stanley arrived at Rural Hall Elementary School in North Carolina just in time for Spring Treats. He spent Easter Weekend with Jared and his family and traveled through the mountains to Virginia. One of the best things about living in North Carolina, especially in the Piedmont Triad, is that we are only 4 hours from the beach and 2 hours from the mountains. Flat Stanley visited a coal mine while in Virginia. Virginia is the state just north of North Carolina.

Flat Stanley learned about dinosaurs and sharks during our video conference with the Natural Science Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. Raleigh is our state capital.

During spring break, Flat Stanley spent the week with Madison. It rained every day, but one during our vacation. Madison and Stella decided to take Flat Stanley to the Hanes Mall for a shopping trip. They had lunch at “Steak Escape”. YUM!!!!

Have fun on your next adventure, Flat Stanley.
